Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger (optional)
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil or ghee (optional)

Instructions

  • Pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat without boiling.
  • Add turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper. Whisk continuously to combine and prevent clumps.
  • Let the mixture simmer gently for 5 to 7 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  • Turn off the heat and stir in honey or maple syrup.
  • Pour into a mug and serve warm.

Notes

Use plant-based milk for a dairy-free version. Always add black pepper to improve turmeric absorption. Avoid boiling to preserve flavor and texture. Adjust sweetness to taste with honey or maple syrup.
