Equipment

  • 1 – Small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl – for heating water
  • 1 – Whisk or fork – to mix gelatin
  • 1 – Measuring spoons and cups
  • 1 – Glass container or silicone molds – for chilling gelatin

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Unflavored gelatin such as Knox or Vital Proteins
  • ½ cup Hot water freshly boiled
  • ½ cup 100% unsweetened cranberry juice or apple juice
  • ½ tbsp Apple cider vinegar raw unfiltered with "mother"

Instructions

  • Heat water to near boiling and pour into a mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle in gelatin while whisking continuously until completely dissolved.
  • Add cranberry juice and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine.
  • Pour mixture into glass dish or silicone molds.
  • Refrigerate for 3–4 hours or until firm.
  • Cut into cubes or unmold. Store covered in fridge for up to 5 days.

Notes

You can swap cranberry juice for beet, cherry, or apple juice, just ensure it's unsweetened.
For a vegan version, use agar agar instead of gelatin (adjust quantity as agar sets faster).
Best enjoyed chilled before dinner or mid-afternoon for appetite control.
Pairs well with a protein-rich meal for added satiety.
