Equipment

  • Citrus juicer for extracting lime juice
  • Grater to prepare fresh ginger
  • Glass jar or mixing glass to mix and store the drink

Ingredients

  • 1 fresh lime juiced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • ½ tsp maple syrup or honey optional

Instructions

  • Juice the lime into a glass or jar.
  • Add grated ginger or squeeze in ginger juice.
  • Add cayenne pepper.
  • Pour in the water and stir well.
  • Add maple syrup or honey if using. Stir again.
  • Serve chilled, over ice, or warm (not boiling).

Notes

  • Can be made in batches and stored in the fridge for 2 days.
  • Use sparkling water for a fizzy variation.
