  • Spoon For stirring
  • microplane or grater Optional for fresh ginger

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm filtered water
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 pinch cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • Warm the filtered water until hot but not boiling.
  • Pour the warm water into a mug and add the cayenne pepper.
  • Stir well until the cayenne pepper is evenly mixed into the water.
  • Add the fresh lemon juice and raw honey to the mug.
  • Mix in the grated ginger and cinnamon if using.
  • Stir again until the honey fully dissolves into the warm drink.
  • Sip slowly while warm and adjust sweetness or spice level to taste.

Notes

Start with a small pinch of cayenne pepper if you are sensitive to spicy foods. Add extra honey or warm water to soften the heat. Serve immediately while warm because the spicy flavor intensifies as the drink sits.
