Ingredients
  

  • Peels from 2–3 organic apples
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 slice fresh ginger optional
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon for chips

Method
 

  1. For tea: In a pot, combine apple peels, water, cinnamon stick, and ginger. Bring to boil, then simmer 10–15 min. Strain and serve warm or chilled.
  2. For chips: Toss apple peels with cinnamon, spread on baking tray, bake at 225°F (107°C) for 45–60 min until crisp. Cool before eating.

Notes

Use organic apples when possible to avoid pesticide residue. Tea can be stored in fridge for 2–3 days; chips stay crisp in an airtight container for 1 week.
