  • 6 Apples Granny Smith + Honeycrisp sliced
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice fresh
  • ¼ cup Sugar white for filling
  • 1 tbsp Flour or cornstarch
  • tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg optional
  • Crisp Topping

  • ¾ cup Flour all-purpose
  • ½ cup Brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup Butter cold cubed
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • pinch Salt
  • ¼ cup Walnuts optional chopped

Equipment

  • 1 8x8 baking dish or 9x9 dish, greased
  • 1 Mixing bowl for crumble topping
  • 1 Knife for slicing apples
  • 1 Oven Preheated to 350°F

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease your baking dish.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a large bowl, toss apple slices with lemon juice, white sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread in the baking dish.
  3. Make the topping: In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in cold butter using fingers or a pastry cutter until crumbly.
  4. Assemble: Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apple mixture. Do not press it down.
  5. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes until the topping is golden and apples are bubbling.
  6. Cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes
